NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF NELSON
PRELIMINARY BUDGET
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Preliminary Budget of the Town of Nelson for the Fiscal
Year beginning January 1, 2027 has been completed and filed in the office of the Town
Clerk of the Town of Nelson, 4085 Nelson Road in the Hamlet of Nelson where it is available
for inspection by any interested persons during regular office hours. Office hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Fridays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The office is closed on Tuesdays.
FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Nelson will meet and review the 2027 Preliminary Budget and hold a Public Hearing at the Nelson Town Office Building on the
5th day of November 2026 at 5:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard, and at such time any person may be heard in favor of or against any item or items therein contained.
Pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law the proposed salaries of the following Town
Officers are hereby specified as follows:
Supervisor - $10,609.00
Councilors (4) - $13,280.82
Town Clerk & Tax Collector - $36,050.00
Justice - $46,799.08
Highway Superintendent - $73,408.10
